Project GOLD: (Goldbridge : Outreach : Life : Direction) A free, Non-Government Counseling Service for those affected by the use and abuse of mind and mood altering substances Project GOLD is and initiative of Goldbridge Rehabilitation Services and funded by the Commonwealth and Ageing through the National Illicit Drug Strategy.

This new and dynamic service offers evidence based, client centered, solution focused, individual counseling to anyone affected by the use of mind and mood altering substances.

Clients are treated in a respectful, non-judgment manner, and are supported to set their own goals and work for change at their own space.

Project GOLD adopts a 'harm minimization' approach to substance abuse treatment. The only condition to receiving our service is that a client is not affected by mind and mood altering substance at the time of their counseling appointment.

Who can access Project GOLD?

Project GOLD offers counseling service to a broad cross-section of the community. Our client are people who:

  • are seeking help with their substance using behaviours for the first time;
  • have completed and are looking for continuing support;
  • are waiting to enter a residential program and are seeking support;
  • are seeking support in dealing with the substance using behaviours of others;
  • are seeking relationship counseling to repair the effects that substance abuse has had on their relationship.
Individually tailored programs of counseling are available to meet the various needs of all these client groups.
