The Goldbridge Day Program is a group learning program directed to adults struggling with dependence on alcohol and other drugs. This program aims to provide support for clients while waiting for admission to withdrawal/treatment facilities, while in the process of assessment, or while contemplating their need/readiness for treatment.

Day Program
The program is divided in group sessions, over a two-week period covering six modules with a one-to-one assessment as part of the first module. The assessment will be conducted by our Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) professionals.
- When: 3 days per week – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Time: 9am to 11.30am
- Where: Southport Community Centre, 6 Lawson St, Southport QLD 4215
Costs
There is no cost associated to the program. A morning tea will be provided.

Group sessions
The groups will focus on topics such as:
- The effects of addiction on the body and mind.
- Harm minimisation strategies.
- Social and emotional wellbeing.
- The stages of change.
- What treatment looks like from various perspectives.
- Social Connection and Recovery
Note: Although abstinence is not mandatory, a staff member will assess participant’s cognitive, behavioural and physical fitness to participate in the program. Clients may be invited to join the program at a later date.
